Responsibilities

Business Development:
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for group benefit and retirement plans.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients through networking, cold calling, and market research.
Client Consultation:
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments with clients to understand their unique group benefits and retirement plan requirements.
  • Provide tailored and strategic recommendations to address client objectives.
Proposal Development:
  • Prepare comprehensive and competitive proposals for group benefit and retirement plans, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on group benefit and retirement plan matters.
  • Provide ongoing support, addressing inquiries, and proactively identifying opportunities for plan optimization.
Market Intelligence:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape affecting group benefits and retirement plans.
  • Share insights internally to contribute to product and service enhancements.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Work closely with the service and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients.
  • Collaborate on the development of customized solutions that meet client expectations.
Sales Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue projections.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance and contribute to forecasting efforts.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in group benefits, retirement plans, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of group benefit and retirement plan products, services, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
